Topciment β Sttandard Microdeck & Natture M
Practical guide for preparation, mixing, and application of Sttandard Microdeck and limestone-based Natture M.
π‘ About the Products:
β’ Sttandard Microdeck: Two-component microcement with a medium aggregate structure (max grain size 0.2 mm). Provides a highly durable surface with vibrant movement for floors and walls.
β’ Natture M: Two-component limestone-based microcement (max grain size 0.2 mm) for floors and walls. Offers exceptional hardness, superior workability, and natural tadelakt or concrete effects.

π± Coverage & Mixing Ratio (Component A Powder + Acricem Resin):
β’ Sttandard Microdeck: Mix 10 kg powder with 3.0β3.5 liters of Acricem. Coverage: approx. 1.0 kg/mΒ² total for 2 coats.
β’ Natture M: Mix 20 kg powder with 7.5 liters of Acricem. Coverage: approx. 1.0 kg/mΒ² total for 2 coats.
β’ Layer Thickness: Apply max 1.0 mm per coat (total system thickness approx. 1β3 mm).
Always calculate exact batch recipes and pigment quantities in the mixing app.

β οΈ Important Before Starting:
β’ Working Temperature: Maintain material, substrate, and ambient air between +10 Β°C and +30 Β°C.
β’ Substrate: Always build up the substrate with two sanded base coats (Sttandard Microbase or Natture XL/L with reinforcement mesh on floors).
β’ Pot Life / Working Time: The mixed batch remains workable for approx. 1β2 hours at +20 Β°C after mechanical mixing.
β’ Movement Joints: Always honor existing expansion and structural movement joints in the substrate.

Steel Trowel Selection & Finish
β’ Venetian Inox: Rigid steel trowel that produces pronounced movement, burnish effects, and rich tonal variations.
β’ Katana: Standard steel trowel for a balanced, harmonious surface with moderate burnish lines.
β’ Bianco Flex: Flexible specialty steel trowel that delivers a calm, uniform surface without dark burnish marks (always use for light color shades).

1. Substrate Preparation & Setup
1.
Inspect the Base Coat: Verify that the preceding base coat (Microbase or Natture XL/L) has dried out completely.
2.
Sand the Base Coat: Sand the base layer completely flat with 40-grit sandpaper using a random orbital sander to eliminate all ridges and imperfections. Finish coats are applied very thinly and will not conceal underlying defects.
3.
Vacuuming: Vacuum and dry-mop the substrate thoroughly. All sanding dust must be removed to ensure uniform suction and avoid scratching the surface.
2. Mixing
π§ͺ Mixing Microdeck / Natture M:
1. Measure out Acricem Resin into a clean container and add the pigment. Stir until the pigment is fully dissolved and the liquid has a homogeneous color.
2. Gradually add the powder while stirring with a mechanical paddle mixer at low speed.
3. Mix for at least 4 minutes until you achieve a completely lump-free, smooth paste.

3. Application & Technique
1.
Coat 1: Trowel out the material holding the steel trowel at an angle of roughly 45 degrees. Draw out the layer to the thickness of the aggregate grain (max 1 mm) so that a clear scraping sound is heard against the substrate.
2.
Coat 2 β Select Method:
β’ On Dry Substrate: Allow coat 1 to dry for 3β4 hours. Lightly sand with 80-grit sandpaper, vacuum thoroughly, and apply coat 2.
β’ Wet-on-Wet: Apply coat 2 as soon as coat 1 becomes tack-free (the surface does not transfer residue when touched). Skip intermediate sanding with this method.

3.
Drying Time: Allow the surface to dry for 24 hours before sanding prior to pre-sealing and topcoat.
π‘ Tips for Crisp Internal and External Corners (Final Coat):
To easily achieve clean, sharp corners with Microdeck, apply masking tape along the corners of the 2 adjoining walls on the final coat (next to the wall you are applying to). Then repeat the same process on the opposite wall.
β’ Remove the tape immediately once you are done with the wall.
β’ Place a fan facing the finished walls for effective drying.
β’ Sand and re-tape: After 2β3 hours, you can sand the corners of the finished walls, mask them with tape, and apply the final coat to the remaining walls.
This technique works on both internal and external corners. It is not mandatory, but it makes achieving a flawless result much easier.

Next Steps: Sanding & Sealing
Once the surface has dried for 24 hours, sand it smooth. Then select your sealing system:
1. Titan System
Combine primer Titan Presealer / Titan Cream with topcoat Titan Topsealer:
2. Topciment Dragon System
Combine primer TT Presealer with topcoat TT Topsealer Dragon:
π Safety & Protective Equipment:
β’ These products contain cement/lime and can irritate skin, eyes, and respiratory passages.
β’ Wear rubber/nitrile protective gloves and tight-fitting safety goggles.
β’ Always wear particulate respiratory protection (P2/P3) during dry powder handling and all sanding operations.
β’ Ensure good ventilation on the jobsite. Keep out of reach of children.
