Topciment — TT Presealer

Practical guide for saturating and sealing microcement prior to topcoat application in the Topciment system.

⚠️ Important Roller Selection:
Always use our 8 mm Microstar roller (lint-free, 6–8 mm pile length). The correct tool is essential to ensure uniform coat thickness and guarantee optimal performance of the final seal.

• Microcement Drying Time: Apply TT Presealer no earlier than 24 hours after the final microcement layer has completely dried.
• Vacuuming: Vacuum the surface thoroughly using a soft brush attachment to avoid black wheel marks. Keep the power cord under control to prevent scuff marks on the surface.
• Dry Wiping: Wipe down the entire surface with a dry microfiber cloth. Residual sanding dust darkens beneath the sealer and becomes clearly visible on light color tones.

• Continuous Perimeter Cut-Ins: Only brush edges and corners directly adjacent to the section you are currently rolling (approx. 50 cm at a time). Do not cut in all room edges in advance, as the material will skin over and cause permanent lap marks.
• Wall Application: Start in an upper corner. Watch closely for runs, especially during the second coat since the substrate porosity is significantly reduced.
• Floor Application: Start at the farthest point from the exit and work backward in sections of approx. 1 meter. Saturate the cement evenly, ensuring no puddles are left standing.

☀️ Important in Direct Sunlight:
If direct sunlight hits the surface: shade the windows or avoid applying during peak sun hours. Otherwise, the pre-sealer will flash-dry prematurely, causing permanent lap streaks.

🛑 Protect Adjacent Surfaces:
Drips and spills left to dry will leave permanent blemishes in the cement. Always cover floor surfaces when working on walls, and set the paint tray on protective paper during floor application.

• Drying Time Between Coats: Allow coat 1 to dry for 3–4 hours at +20 °C before rolling coat 2.
• Roller Tip: You do not need to wash out the roller between coats. Store it sealed inside a plastic bag or roller sleeve cover.
• Drying Time Before Topcoat: Following the second coat, let the pre-sealer dry for at least 12–24 hours before applying Topsealer Dragon.
• Intermediate Abrasion: Always lightly scuff the surface with 400-grit abrasive and remove dust with a dry microfiber cloth before topcoating.
