Pre-treatment: Titan Presealer / Titan Cream

Saturate the substrate with pre-sealer prior to the topcoat. This ensures strong adhesion and prevents discoloration in the microcement.

Pre-treatment Selection

Both Titan Presealer and Titan Cream saturate the substrate and act as a pore-blocking primer prior to applying Titan Topsealer on interior walls and floors.

💡 System Recommendations:
• Bathroom Floors: Use Titan Cream instead of Titan Presealer on bathroom floors for maximum protection against water staining. Then seal with Titan Topsealer.
* For traditional microcement: apply TT Presealer in 2 coats and seal with Topsealer WT Dragon in 2 coats.

Preparation

1. Thorough Sanding

Sand the surface meticulously before application. The substrate will not become smoother after the first coat of sealer cures. Always use good raking light during the sanding process.

• Walls: A completely smooth surface is not always the goal on walls. Always evaluate the surface texture against a physical sample first.
• Floors: Sand to a perfectly flat plane so no high spots or ridges become visible in raking light.
• Internal Corners: Sand internal corners carefully by hand. Insufficiently sanded corners darken significantly after sealing. Always correct major ridges at the base coat stage.

Grit Sizes for Machine Sanding (and Hand Sanding):
• Base Coat (Microbase): 40 Grit (80 grit for hand sanding)
• Intermediate / Floor Finish (Microdeck): 80 Grit (120 grit for hand sanding)
• Wall Finish (Microfino): 120 Grit (240 grit for hand sanding)

2. Cleaning

Vacuum the surface using a soft brush nozzle to avoid scratches and scuffs, keeping vacuum cords under control. Wipe the entire surface down with a dry microfiber cloth. Remove all sanding dust completely—trapped dust particles darken under the sealer and show up immediately on lighter color shades.

Dilution & Number of Coats

Apply the sealer no earlier than 24 hours after the final microcement layer has dried. Dilute with clean water as specified below:

• Titan Presealer:
– Floors in dry areas: Dilute with 10% water. Apply 1 coat.
– Bathrooms and wet zones: Apply 2 coats. Dilute coat 1 with 20% water and coat 2 with 10% water.
• Titan Cream: Used in place of Titan Presealer (highly recommended on bathroom floors). Always dilute with 20% water. Apply 1 coat.
• Drying Time Between Coats (when applying 2 coats of Titan Presealer): Allow the first coat to dry for 2–3 hours before rolling out the next layer.

Application

Maintain room temperature between +10 °C and +25 °C. Use a clean 8 mm lint-free microfiber roller. Cut in edges and corners with a brush in small sections so you can back-roll before the material starts to tack up. Work methodically wet-on-wet to avoid lap marks and gloss framing:

• Walls: Start at an upper corner. Only brush cut-ins for the section to be rolled immediately (approx. 50 cm width). Back-roll carefully to eliminate runs, particularly on the second coat.
• Floors: Start at the farthest corner and work backward toward the exit in sections of approximately 1 meter. Saturate the substrate evenly and ensure material does not puddle.
• Protect Surfaces: Always cover floors when sealing walls, and place the paint tray on protective paper during floor application. Accidental drips that dry leave permanent spots.
