Substrate Requirements Prior to Sealing
Titan Topsealer is a water-based two-component polyurethane topcoat. Never apply it directly onto bare, untreated microcement. Always saturate and prime the substrate first with Titan Presealer or Titan Cream to prevent spotting and discoloration.

β’ Vapor Permeability: The sealer is more breathable (diffusion-open), making it especially suitable for basements and ground-contact slabs.
β’ Intermediate Sanding: Does not require sanding between coats provided coat 2 is applied within 8 hours.

Always use an 8 mm Microstar roller (8 mm pile length) or an equivalent approved lint-free microfiber roller. Using the incorrect roller leads to uneven film thickness and is the single most common cause of inadequate stain resistance.

Preparation Prior to Sealing
β’ Intermediate Abrasion (If Required): Has more than 8 hours passed since applying Titan Presealer/Cream? Lightly scuff the surface with 400-grit sandpaper or sanding mesh to ensure mechanical adhesion.
β’ Dust Removal: Wipe the entire surface thoroughly with a dry microfiber cloth. The surface must be completely clean and dust-free before rolling.

Mixing & Critical Mixing Sequence
β’ Shaking: Shake both containers vigorously for approximately 20 seconds before measuring.
β’ Mixing Ratio: 5 parts Component A + 1 part Component B + 10% clean water. Calculate exact quantities in the mixing app.
π MANDATORY MIXING SEQUENCE:
1. First, blend Component A and Component B together thoroughly.
2. Then, add the water last and stir until the topcoat is completely homogeneous.

β’ Pot Life / Working Time: Mixed sealer remains workable for approx. 45 minutes in the container.
Application Technique: Cross-Rolling
Work methodically wet-on-wet in sections of 1β2 mΒ² at a time to avoid visible lap lines and roller marks:
1.
Horizontal Pass: Roll out the sealer from side to side across the section. Maintain firm, steady pressure on the roller to force the sealer into the micropores of the surface.
2.
Vertical Pass: Immediately go over the same section vertically from top to bottom, maintaining continuous firm pressure.
3.
Light Back-Roll: Tip off/back-roll the surface very lightly in a single direction with zero pressure to level the texture and eliminate roller lines.
4.
Maintain Wet Edge: Blend immediately into the wet edge that has rested the longest. Always maintain a wet-on-wet transition before the sealer begins to film over.
Drying Times & Number of Coats
β’ Drying Time Between Coats: Allow coat 1 to dry for 3β4 hours before rolling coat 2.
β’ Time Window: If more than 8 hours elapse between coats, you must lightly scuff the surface with 400-grit abrasive and wipe away dust with a dry microfiber cloth before applying coat 2.
