Forcrete β Forshield Topcoats & Sealers
Overview and guidance for final sealing with Forshield 2KWB, Ultra, FX, and PA.
β’ Forshield 2KWB: The standard topcoat used for walls and most residential environments. Semi-matte finish.
β’ Forshield Ultra: A more durable and harder topcoat for commercial environments and countertops where chemical resistance demands are higher (same gloss level as 2KWB, but a premium formulation).
β’ Forshield FX: Ready-mixed pore filler that provides a smoother and calmer finish, and serves as the first protective coat on Microgranite/Microstone outside bathrooms.
β’ Forshield PA: Polyaspartic sealer for extra-durable floor surfaces, and as the initial pore-filling coat (with thickening powder) on Microgranite/Microstone in bathrooms and wet zones.
β’ Forshield 2KWB: 50 g/mΒ² (42 g Component A + 9 g Component B).
β’ Forshield Ultra: 50 g/mΒ² (42 g Component A + 8 g Component B).
Always calculate exact batch quantities and water additions directly in the mixing app.
Preparation Prior to Sealing
β’ Sanding: Sand the surface to achieve the desired finish. Do not leave floor surfaces too coarse, as rough texture traps dirt and becomes difficult to clean.
β’ Vacuuming & Dry-Wiping: Vacuum and dry-mop the substrate meticulously. Then wipe the entire surface with a dry microfiber cloth. Residual sanding dust compromises adhesion, and on dark colors, dust left underneath causes the sealer to appear cloudy and white.
β’ Temperature: All topcoats must be at normal room temperature during application. Forshield Ultra must never be coldβwarm the bottle in a lukewarm water bath so it reaches +25β30 Β°C before mixing for optimal flow.
System Options & Products
Our primary choice for walls and residential floors. A two-component polyurethane topcoat that provides a strong, durable finish with solid UV protection.
Instructions: Forshield 2KWB βA harder, highly chemical-resistant topcoat designed for countertops, tables, and high-traffic commercial floors. Shares the same sheen as 2KWB with enhanced surface resilience.
Instructions: Forshield Ultra βA ready-to-use formulation troweled in a thin layer with a plastic/rubber squeegee. Fills micropores for a smoother, calmer aesthetic. Replaces the first coat of 2KWB/Ultra and serves as the mandatory first coat over Microstone/Microgranite in dry areas.
Instructions: Forshield FX βTwo-component polyaspartic coating providing high mechanical strength. Used on smooth floors requiring extra durability, or blended with 4% thickening powder as the initial pore-filling coat on Microstone/Microgranite in bathrooms and wet areas.
Instructions: Forshield PA βRolling Methodology (2KWB & Ultra)
Always use an 8 mm lint-free roller. Do not spread the material too thinβdry-rolling creates lap lines and a streaky finish.
β’ Pressure & Spread: Roll the sealer from side to side with firm, even pressure to saturate the substrate.
β’ Cross-Roll: Immediately roll perpendicularly across the same section, maintaining steady pressure.
β’ Light Back-Roll: Tip off very lightly in a single direction without downward pressure to smooth out roller texture.
β’ Maintain Wet Edge: Blend immediately into the wet leading edge so adjoining sections knit together wet-on-wet.
β’ Ensure adequate ventilation during application and throughout the curing process.
β’ Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Store frost-free and keep out of reach of children.
