💡 About Microquartz:
Microquartz is a two-component, epoxy-based microcement applied by trowel. The product acts as a fully waterproof top layer delivering extreme wear resistance and high compressive strength for floors, walls, and wet rooms in both indoor and outdoor environments.

📱 Coverage & Mixing Ratio:
• Mixing Ratio (A : B): 916 : 84 (5.5 kg Component A to 500 g Component B).
• Coverage: approx. 350–500 g/m² per coat (depending on grain size).
• Layer Thickness: approx. 0.4–0.5 mm per coat.
Always use the app for exact calculations of material quantities, water volume, and pigment for your project.

• Pot Life / Working Time: Approximately 40–60 minutes after incorporating the hardener (Component B).

Inspect Substrate: Ensure the base coat is completely dry and free from dust, dirt, and grease/oil stains.

Sand Base Coat: Sand the base layer smooth using 40-grit sandpaper or a 50 diamond pad to remove all imperfections and high spots. Sweep up any excess sand and vacuum the surface thoroughly.

Mix Microquartz at a ratio of 916 : 84 (1 bottle 500 g Component B to 1 bucket 5.5 kg Component A). Always calculate exact batch requirements for pigment, water, and split quantities in the app. Follow the separate guide for full instructions:

4. Application of Microquartz
Coat 1: Microquartz Coarse (Standard Across All Systems)
Coat 2: Select Finish for the Final Layer
• Application: Trowel out material evenly and thinly with a flexible steel trowel to the thickness of the aggregate (approx. 0.5 mm, coverage approx. 450–500 g/m²).
• Burnishing/Compacting: Normally does not require burnishing, unless the substrate demands extra filling or if the finish layer will be Medium/Smooth.
• Curing & Sanding: Allow to cure for 24 hours overnight. Sand the surface smooth with 40 grit or a 50 diamond pad and vacuum thoroughly.

Option A: Coarse
Most Popular
The stoniest, most classic Forcrete aggregate texture.
• Application: Spread the material (approx. 0.5 mm) with a flexible steel trowel. Then burnish/compact the surface in circular, irregular movements to develop the proper texture.
• Burnishing Tools:
– Plastic Trowel: Produces a homogeneous, uniform surface without metallic burnish marks.
– Steel Trowel: Imparts richer movement, burnish effects, and tonal variation.
• Light Shades: Burnishing light colors with steel trowels can create dark metallic scuff marks. Always use plastic tools when compacting light shades.
• Coverage: approx. 450–500 g/m².

Smooth texture (Medium) or velvety finish with subtle tonal flow (Smooth).
• Application: Spread material with a flexible steel trowel across approx. 1 m² at a time, working in open, irregular shapes. Draw the trowel in alternating directions to break linear patterns.
• Important: Never leave a straight or heavy wet edge; the material flash-dries rapidly along exposed edges and becomes difficult to feather out.
• Smooth: Apply extremely thinly at an angle of approx. 45°. Scrape off with a light hand.
• Coverage: Medium approx. 400–450 g/m² / Smooth approx. 350–400 g/m².
• Important: Never leave a straight or heavy wet edge; the material flash-dries rapidly along exposed edges and becomes difficult to feather out.
• Smooth: Apply extremely thinly at an angle of approx. 45°. Scrape off with a light hand.
• Coverage: Medium approx. 400–450 g/m² / Smooth approx. 350–400 g/m².
💡 Pro Tip for Crisp Internal & External Corners (Final Coat):
To easily achieve sharp, clean corners, apply masking tape along the corners of the 2 adjoining walls on the final coat (next to the wall you are applying to). Then repeat the same process on the opposite wall.
• Remove the tape immediately once you have finished applying the coat.
• Set up a fan directed toward the completed walls for proper curing and air circulation.
• Sand and re-tape: You must wait until the following day to sand the finished surfaces before taping over them and coating the remaining walls. With active fan circulation, you can often tape later the same day, but you must not sand first.
This technique works equally well on internal and external corners. While not mandatory, it significantly facilitates a flawless finish.
