Topciment — Primacem Plus

Practical guide for priming non-porous and non-absorbent substrates prior to microcement application.

Suitable Substrates

Use Primacem Plus on dense, non-absorbent surfaces where conventional primers cannot penetrate. The product is ready-mixed and applied directly from the container onto:

• Tiles and pavers
• Worktops and stone slabs
• Laminate and other hard, smooth surfaces

Preparation & Application

• Substrate: Ensure the surface is completely dry, clean, rigid, and degreased from soap residue and oil.
• Flatness: Level the substrate carefully beforehand. Microcement is applied very thinly and will not hide uneven areas.
• Execution: Roll or brush out the primer evenly across the entire surface without leaving dry spots. Maintain working temperatures between +10 °C and +30 °C.
• Number of Coats: Apply in 1 even, fully covering coat.
💡 Rolling Down Reinforcement Mesh: Primacem Plus contains adhesive properties that allow you to roll and adhere the fiberglass mesh directly onto the substrate. On absorbent surfaces, prime with Primacem ABS or Acricem Resin first, allow it to dry, and then roll down the mesh using Primacem Plus.

Drying Times & Application Windows

The primer is touch-dry after approximately 20–30 minutes under normal room temperature and good ventilation.

⏳ Important Time Windows:
• Wait at least 30 minutes after priming so the film has time to dry and build full tack and adhesion.
• Trowel the first base coat of microcement within 24 hours after rolling out the primer.

Once the primer has dried, proceed with reinforcement mesh and base coat application:

• Wear protective gloves and safety glasses during application.
• Ensure good ventilation in the workspace.
• Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep out of reach of children.
